Coforge Shares Jump 5.6% Following Partnership with Solstice Innovations for AI-Led P&C Insurance Overhaul

Synopsis:- In a strategic move targeting legacy modernization in the Property and Casualty insurance sector, Coforge Limited has announced a partnership with US-based Solstice Innovations, Inc., combining its Forge-X AI platform with Solstice’s Equinox system; shares gained over 5.6 percent in intraday trade despite a weak broader market, with the deal seen as a tangible push into Coforge’s high-growth insurance vertical.

A strategic partnership in the insurance technology space brought the NSE-listed IT company into focus on April 2, 2026. Shares climbed over 5.6 percent intraday, touching a high of Rs. 1,218.8, after the company disclosed a tie-up aimed at moving P&C insurers from legacy core systems to AI-driven modern platforms.

With a market capitalisation of approximately Rs. 40,999.73 crore, the shares of Coforge Limited were trading at Rs. 1,218.8 per share, up over 5.6 percent from its previous closing price of Rs. 1,153.9 apiece. It is trading at a P/E of 29.48.

Partnership Update

Coforge and Solstice Innovations have entered into a strategic partnership to accelerate AI-led core modernization for Property and Casualty insurers. The collaboration integrates Coforge’s Forge-X agentic AI platform with Solstice’s Equinox platform, targeting the full migration lifecycle, from legacy environment assessment through to production deployment on modern, intelligent core systems.

The “agentic” framing matters here: rather than conventional automation that executes fixed workflows, agentic AI can make contextual decisions across multi-step processes, which is particularly relevant for insurance workflows involving underwriting rules, claims routing, and policy administration where the rule sets are both complex and insurer-specific.

As part of the arrangement, Coforge will establish a dedicated Center of Excellence powered by Forge-X, focused on client onboarding, system integration, migration, and quality engineering for Solstice and its customer base. This CoE structure signals a recurring services play which, if it gains traction, would add to Coforge’s order book in a vertical where multi-year modernization contracts are the norm.

Why the Insurance Vertical Matters

Insurance technology modernization has been a slow-burn opportunity for global IT services firms. P&C insurers, in particular, have operated on decades-old policy administration and claims systems, and the cost of replacing them has historically deterred action.

The combination of competitive pressure from insurtechs and rising loss ratios has shifted that calculus. Coforge, which already counts Sabre, SITA, and ING among its marquee clients, has been deliberate about deepening its insurance exposure. A pre-built integration between Forge-X and Equinox reduces the implementation risk that typically derails large-scale core replacement programmes, and that reduced risk profile is a genuine selling point for mid-sized P&C carriers.

Business Overview

Coforge Limited, formerly NIIT Technologies, is an IT services company providing end-to-end software solutions with particular depth in travel, banking, and insurance verticals. For the quarter ended December 2025, Coforge reported consolidated revenue of Rs. 4,188 crore, up approximately 28.5 percent year-on-year from Rs. 3,258 crore in December 2024, though expense growth during the same period tracked closely behind revenue growth.
