The shares of this company, which is involved in the manufacturing of refined sugar (in various consumer packs) and cogeneration of power with products such as white crystal sugar, molasses, bagasse, and alcohol, came into focus today after strong quarterly earnings.

With a market capitalization of Rs 132.50 crore, Indian Sucrose Ltd’s share on Friday made a day high of Rs 79 per share, up by 7.4 percent from its previous day’s close price of Rs 73.51 per share. The shares of this company trade at an undervalued PE of 3.18x, around one-third of the industry PE of 11.1x.

Results Highlights 

QoQ View: The revenue from operations grew by 103 percent to Rs 79.7 crore in Q3 FY26 from Rs 39.1 crore in Q2 FY26, and EBDIT grew by 928 percent to Rs 11 crore in Q3 FY26 from Rs 1.07 crore in Q2 FY26. Accompanied by a net profit that grew to a positive number of Rs 6.73 crore in Q3 FY26 from a loss of Rs 3.67 crore in Q2 FY26.

YoY View: The revenue from operations grew by 54 percent to Rs 79.7 crore in Q3 FY26 from Rs 51.7 crore in Q3 FY25, and EBDIT grew by 55 percent to Rs 11 crore in Q3 FY26 from Rs 7.11 crore in Q3 FY25. Accompanied by a net profit growth of 135 percent to Rs 6.73 crore in Q3 FY26 from Rs 2.86 crore in Q3 FY25, resulting in an EPS growth of 135  percent to Rs 3.87 per share in Q3 FY26.

Revenue segmentation: The company’s revenue mix is heavily skewed toward the Sugar segment, which generated Rs 89.06 crore in reported units and contributed roughly 83 percent of total gross revenue, making it the primary growth engine. The Cogeneration segment added Rs 17.99 crore, reflecting supplementary power income. After adjusting for Rs 27.31 crore of inter-segment eliminations, net segment revenue stood at Rs 79.74 crore for the period.

As of December 2025, the promoter holding remained unchanged at 64.48 percent compared to last year. FIIs continued to hold no stake in the company. DII ownership marginally declined from 0.05 percent to 0.03 percent YoY, while public shareholding edged up slightly from 35.46 percent to 35.50 percent over the same period, indicating a stable overall ownership structure.

Indian Sucrose Limited (ISL) is a Hoshiarpur, Punjab-based manufacturer and exporter of white crystal sugar, established in 1990 and part of the Yadu Corporation. The company operates a 9,000 TCD (tonnes crushed per day) plant, producing sugar, molasses, and bagasse, alongside a 30 MW exportable power capacity. ISL supplies sugar to Punjab, Haryana, U.P., Rajasthan, Himachal, and J&K.
