The shares of this Government-owned Navratna PSU engaged in project management consultancy (PMC), EPC, and real estate development are in the spotlight after it secured orders worth Rs. 501 cr from Rajasthan Council, BEL, and PFC.
With a market capitalisation of Rs. 26,757 cr, the shares of NBCC (India) Ltd were trading at Rs. 99.10 per share, down from its previous close of Rs. 101.50 per share. The stock has delivered a negative return of 13% over the past year. It is down 19% year-to-date, has declined 6% over the last six months, and has fallen 8% in the past month.
About the order
NBCC (India) Ltd is a Navratna public sector enterprise that has secured fresh work orders worth approximately Rs. 501.45 crore in the normal course of business. The contracts have been awarded by the Rajasthan Council of School Education, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), and Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC), further strengthening the company’s order pipeline across education, defence infrastructure, and social infrastructure projects.
The largest order, valued at approximately Rs. 430.69 crore, has been awarded by the Rajasthan Council of School Education for the turnkey construction of 2,256 science laboratories (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) across 922 government schools in Rajasthan. NBCC will execute the project as a Project Management Consultancy (PMC), supporting the state’s efforts to enhance science education infrastructure.
In addition, Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has awarded NBCC an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with PMC services worth around Rs. 60.61 crore for creating infrastructure facilities for NFTRs. The project is expected to strengthen BEL’s infrastructure through NBCC’s project execution capabilities.
The company has also received two Project Management Agency (PMA) contracts from Power Finance Corporation (PFC) under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. These include a Rs. 5.38 crore contract for the construction of a state-of-the-art tourist facilitation centre in Aizawl, Mizoram, and a Rs. 4.77 crore contract for the Phase II construction of a school building at Dr. K.B. Hedgewar Higher Secondary School in Bambolim, Goa.
All the awarded projects are domestic in nature and fall within NBCC’s regular business operations. The latest order wins reinforce the company’s presence in project management consultancy and infrastructure development across education, defence, tourism, and public infrastructure sectors.
