RailTel Corporation of India has secured a major new contract. The state-owned telecom company will build a dedicated online portal for Goa’s building and construction workers. The Goa Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board awarded this project. It marks another strong addition to RailTel’s growing order book.
Railtel Corporation Of India’s Limited’s stock, with a market capitalisation of Rs. 9,320 crores, rose Rs. 294.20, up 4.17 percent from its previous closing price of Rs. 282.41. Furthermore, the stock over the past year has given a negative return of 0.5 percent.
The Goa government has assigned RailTel to develop an exclusive online portal. This portal will serve workers in the building and construction sector. It aims to bring welfare services onto a single digital platform. The contract is domestic in nature. RailTel must complete the project by June 8, 2026. The total order value stands at Rs 23.18 crore, including taxes. This kind of digital push reflects India’s wider move toward e-governance.
RailTel has been picking up contracts at a fast pace. In late March 2026, the company received a Rs 21.92 crore work order from Jharkhand PSC for biometric, CCTV, and VOIP systems.
