Synopsis: With a market cap of more than 12,000Cr a piston and piston ring manufacturer announced its Q3FY26 result that stated a 20 percent revenue growth. This company’s stock has given a compounded return of 67 percent in the last 3 years.

A small-cap company specializing in piston manufacturing has attracted market attention following the announcement of its strong Q3FY26 results, along with other key updates that investors should be aware of. 

With a market cap of Rs 12,405 Cr, Shriram Pistons & Rings Ltd saw its stock hit an intraday high of Rs 2911 which is 9 percent higher than the previous close of Rs 2664. The company stock has given a compounded return of 67 percent in the last three years.

The Q3FY26 Result

In the latest quarterly result the company has seen its revenue from operations increase by 20 percent YoY, from Rs 848 Cr in Q3FY25 to Rs 1,023 Cr in Q3FY26, while the QoQ increased by less than 1 percent from Rs 1,016 Cr. The net profits grew by 4 percent going from Rs 121 Cr in Q3FY25 to Rs 126 Cr in Q3FY26, while the QoQ decreased by 11 percent from Q2FY26’s Rs 142 Cr.

In 9M numbers of the fiscal year, the company saw its revenue from operations increase by 17 percent YoY, from Rs 2561 Cr in 9MFY25 to Rs 3002 Cr in 9MFY26. The net profits for the same period grew by 10 percent going from Rs 364 Cr to Rs 402 Cr.

The company has a 3 year sales CAGR of 20 percent, while the TTM is at 17 percent. The company’s 3 year profit CAGR is at 46 percent, while the TTM number is at 17 percent. The company also has a ROCE of 26 percent and a ROE of 23 percent.

Revenue Mix

In FY25, the company had a domestic revenue of Rs 2648 Cr while the revenue from export stood at Rs 484 Cr. When breaking down the export revenue number we get that 31 percent comes from Europe, 26 percent from  South America, 18 percent from the Middle East, while the rest comes from North America , Asia Pacific and Africa.

Interim Dividend

The company will pay an interim dividend of 50 percent, i.e., Rs. 5 per share (face value Rs. 10), for FY 2025-26. Shareholders recorded in the company’s Register of Members or as beneficial owners in the depositories on Friday, February 6, 2026 (Record Date) will be eligible. The dividend will be paid or dispatched on or before March 3, 2026

Outcomes of Board Meeting

Apart from approving its Q3FY26 results and declaring an interim dividend, Shriram Pistons & Rings Limited also decided to issue 100,000 secured, rated, listed, redeemable NCDs worth Rs. 10,000 million on a private placement basis, subject to applicable laws. The company proposed changing its name to “SPR Auto Technologies Limited” and approved alterations to its Memorandum and Articles of Association, all subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals.
