Shares of Sobha Limited climbed as high as Rs 1,577.00 on the NSE on 5 May, touching an intraday peak after the Bengaluru-based developer posted a 124.8% year-on-year jump in net profit for the March 2026 quarter, alongside a dividend announcement for shareholders.
Net profit for Q4 FY26 came in at Rs 91.83 crore, up from Rs 40.85 crore in the same period last year. Net consolidated total income rose 59.74% YoY to Rs 2,029.92 crore, driven by sustained demand for premium housing across key markets. Profit before tax jumped 116.6% YoY to Rs 121.76 crore.
The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 6 per fully paid-up equity share of face value Rs 10, along with a pro-rata dividend on partly paid-up shares, subject to shareholder approval at the forthcoming AGM.
Sales value for Q4 FY26 stood at Rs 2,039 crore, up 30% YoY, with average price realisation at Rs 15,268 per sq ft. Sold area came in at 1.33 million sq ft, up 18% YoY, while launched saleable area during the quarter was 3.31 million sq ft. Collections for the quarter reached Rs 1,989 crore, reflecting 11% quarter-on-quarter growth and a 26% YoY increase.
For the full year FY26, Sobha reported sales value of Rs 8,135 crore, up 30% from Rs 6,276 crore in FY25. Total FY26 collections stood at Rs 7,798 crore. The company’s net debt turned negative at Rs 800 crore, taking its net debt-to-equity ratio to -0.17. Managing Director Jagadish Nangineni told exchanges the Q4 result reflects ‘improving operating excellence in all metrics and businesses.’ There is no related-party concern flagged in the disclosures.
At 12:25 pm, shares were trading up by 2.58% at Rs 1,477.60 on the NSE. Over one year, the stock has gained 11.02%, against the Nifty Realty index’s decline of 9.61% in the same period.
