About the Contract
Organic Recycling Systems Ltd has won a large-scale EPC order from BNG Power & Energy LLP to establish a 5 TPD Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) plant at Jaipur, Rajasthan, with the utilisation of Napier Grass on a large scale. This is a milestone achievement for the company, as it establishes the company in the bioenergy & waste-to-energy market, which is a targeted industry segment under the Indian government’s renewable energy policy. The EPC contract is classified as a big-scale order valued up to Rs 50 crore, making it one of ORSL’s larger project wins. This significantly strengthens the company’s order book and revenue visibility in the bioenergy segment.
It’s important to note that the project signifies ORSL’s technology-based business model, in which it will utilise its proprietary anaerobic digester technology and perform full design, engineering, and MEP. It indicates that the company has moved away from the conventional waste management market and is concentrating on high-margin EPC and technology licensing.
Looking forward, CBG plays an imperative role in decreasing dependence on fossil fuels, circular economy, and energy security. With recognition under the Swachh Bharat Mission and links in R&D collaborations with entities such as IIT Bombay, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, and the University of Birmingham, ORSL is poised to reap the rewards from government and private investment expenditures in sustainable infrastructure.
Financials
The revenue from operations for the company stood at Rs 30 crores in H1 FY26 compared to H1 FY25 revenue of Rs 18 crores, up by about 67 per cent YoY. Similarly, the net profit stood at Rs 12 crore in H1 FY26, up compared to the Rs 7 crore profit in H1 FY25.
Organic Recycling Systems Limited (ORSL) is a major Indian player in the green energy sector, with operations in the waste management and bioenergy chain, providing comprehensive solutions in solid waste management, waste segregation, composting, and waste-to-energy. The organisation uses a variety of feedstock options, including organic waste, agricultural waste, paddy straw, and Napier grass, to set up advanced anaerobic digestion, biogas, and compressed biogas plants, making it a major catalyst in the development of the circular economy in the Indian market. With the strength of the organisation’s engineering, EPC, PMC, and lab services, it assists SATAT-linked projects, thereby facilitating effective waste recycling and clean energy production.
