VFX stock hits 5% upper circuit amid rising demand from Hollywood industry

This VFX Stock is in focus after reporting that they are working at full capacity and increasing their hiring, following the demand increase from the Hollywood industry. 

Share Price Movement

With a market capitalization of Rs. 125 Crore, the stock of Digikore Studios Limited opened at Rs. 189, down 2.75 percent from the previous close of Rs. 194.35. After reporting the business update stock hit 5 percent Upper circuit at 204.05.

Company Update

The Company has achieved full Production capacity and is working on multiple high-profile projects to meet the industry’s growing needs, reflecting the VFX Industry’s rapid recovery. The Industry has made a strong comeback after the slowdown caused by strikes in Hollywood Industry.

They said that several high-budget films and episodic projects have entered the VFX Stage and over 200 mid to high-budget films are set to enter the VFX stage in the next three to six months, fueling the demand across the industry.

Company is also looking at aggressive hiring to meet the demand and surge. They hired 50 VFX artists in February and are set to onboard another 100 to 150 artists in March, to ensure seamless project execution.

Financial Highlights

The company reported a 10.13 percent YoY increase in revenue from operations to Rs. 24.76 Crore in H1FY24 to Rs. 27.27 Crore in H1FY25.  Their Net profit saw a significant decrease of 54.73 percent YoY from Rs. 6.23 Crore to Rs. 2.82 Crore for the same period.
