Alkem Labs Shares Sheds Early Gains on Major Observations 

Shares of Alkem Laboratories Ltd shed all their early gains and plunged 2% from its intra day higher on 10 December on receiving major and minor observations. 

In its regulatory filing, the company said that the Malta Medicines Authority conducted a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspection of its Daman manufacturing site between 5 December and 9 December.

The inspection concluded on 9 December 2025, with no critical observations, three major observations, and a few minor ones.

The corporation stated that it will resolve these observations within the deadline for closure.

Earlier, the company announced the resignation of Mr. Rakesh Tripathi, Senior Vice President of Regulated Plant Operations, which will be effective from 8 December 2025.

Mr. Tripathi, a key member of Alkem’s senior management team, decided to step down citing personal and family commitments. Alkem Laboratories acknowledged his significant contributions during his nearly nine-year tenure.

The company has yet to name a successor and is expected to begin a formal transition process to ensure uninterrupted operations at its regulated plants.

At 3:30 pm, the shares of Alkem Laboratories closed 1.51% lower at Rs 5,582 on NSE.
