Balaji Amines Gains 1% as Ammonia Supply Chain Recovers

Shares of Balaji Amines Limited climbed to a day high of Rs 1,323.25 on NSE on 28 April, after the company told exchanges that the global ammonia supply chain is showing signs of recovery following disruptions tied to the ongoing West Asia conflict.

In a Regulation 30 filing dated 27 April, the Solapur-based specialty chemicals maker disclosed that its plants were placed in a partially non-operational phase due to restricted ammonia availability. The shutdown affected manufacturing across its core ammonia-based product lines.

A gradual restart is now underway across methylamines, ethylamines, and their derivatives. Balaji Amines said it remains in active discussion with alternative suppliers to ensure long-term stability in raw material procurement.

This update is a continuation of an earlier disclosure the firm filed on 12 March 2026, when it first flagged the supply disruption stemming from the Middle East geopolitical conflict. The filing was signed by Abhijeet Kothadiya, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer. No related-party transaction is involved in this disclosure.

At 11:44 am, shares of Balaji Amines were trading 0.10% higher at Rs 1,308.25 on NSE. The stock has gained roughly 20% year-to-date and risen nearly 9% over the past week.
