Shares of HCL Technologies Ltd (HCLTech) fell 6% on 4th February after US software stocks sold off sharply overnight. This happened amid renewed concerns over the viability of their business models.
In a separate development, HCLTech said it has been selected by Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL) to digitally transform its aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) operations. This move will strengthen HCLTech’s presence in the global aerospace services space.
The company will deploy its iMRO/4 enterprise asset management solution, integrated with SAP S/4HANA, as HAESL’s Maintenance Execution System at its Hong Kong facility. The solution will help modernise engine MRO processes, improve real-time data visibility, enhance resource utilisation, and ensure compliance with global aviation standards.
HAESL said the digital transformation will improve operational efficiency, scalability, and turnaround times. HCLTech added that its iMRO/4 platform integrates maintenance with enterprise functions such as finance and materials planning. This helps reduce costs while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Meanwhile, HCLTech reported a 6% sequential rise in Q3FY26 revenue to Rs 33,872 crore. However, net profit fell 3.8% quarter-over-quarter to Rs 4,076 crore due to a one-time labour cost. EBIT stood at Rs 6,285 crore, with margins improving to 18.6%.
At 11:52 AM, shares of HCLTech were trading 5.81% lower at Rs 1,596.80 on NSE.
