News

According to the latest disclosure filed with the stock exchanges, the advanced semiconductor packaging subsidiary of IZMO Limited, izmo Microsystems Pvt. Ltd., has announced its entry into India’s defence electronics sector. The company has started engaging with several leading defence organisations in India, including government research establishments, defence PSUs, and private defence firms, as an advanced packaging partner for mission-critical electronics programs.

Izmomicro’s packaging capabilities serve the core electronics domains at the heart of India’s defence modernisation. These include radar and sensing systems, high-frequency RF and microwave assemblies for electronic warfare and communications, airborne electronics for fighter aircraft and unmanned platforms, and precision guidance systems for India’s expanding guided munitions programs. These represent the highest-complexity, highest-value segments of the defence electronics supply chain, and the areas of greatest pressure under India’s domestic sourcing mandate.

India’s defence budget has reached Rs. 7.85 lakh crore for FY26-27, with a significant share of capital procurement now reserved for domestic companies. Nearly 75 percent of capital acquisition spending is earmarked for the Indian industry, limiting imports across several defence categories. This shift is expected to create more opportunities for domestic technology and electronics companies to participate in defence programs and contribute to the country’s expanding defence manufacturing ecosystem.

Izmo Microsystems Pvt. Ltd. is the advanced semiconductor packaging subsidiary of Izmo Limited, involved in the business of providing services, including SiP, IC packaging, silicon photonics, RF & microwave assembly, co-packaged optics, and high-reliability packaging.
