Synopsis: Lotus Developers Limited reported strong Q4FY26 performance with revenue rising over 60 percent and profit growing nearly 18 percent year-on-year. The company benefited from higher project execution, strong real estate demand, and improved revenue recognition, while promoters waived dividend rights to support future expansion plans.
Lotus Developers has a total market capitalization of Rs. 7,067.92 crore, according to data on the NSE. Lotus Developers shares were trading at Rs. 144.34 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, up by 1.35 percent; the stock has declined around 0.95 percent over the last five sessions, while it has gone up about 3.59 percent in the 30 days. Over a six-month period, the stock has given a negative return of 15.43 percent, whereas on a year-on-year basis it has declined nearly 26.23 percent, reflecting poor overall performance. The stock’s 52-week high was Rs. 218.49 and 52-week low was Rs. 102.10.
Lotus Developers Limited reported consolidated financial results for the quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2026. The company posted revenue from operations of Rs. 307.49 crore in Q4FY26 compared to Rs. 190.03 crore in Q4FY25, reflecting strong growth of around 61.8 percent year-on-year. Quarter over quarter, revenue also improved sharply from Rs. 224.03 crore reported in Q3FY26.
Total income for the quarter stood at Rs. 322.03 crore compared to Rs. 198.13 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering growth of around 62.5 percent year-on-year. The increase was mainly driven by stronger project execution, improved customer demand and higher recognition of revenue from ongoing real estate developments.
On the profitability front, the company reported profit after tax of Rs. 100.92 crore in Q4FY26 compared to Rs. 85.90 crore in Q4FY25, reflecting growth of around 17.5 percent year-on-year. Quarter over quarter, profit also improved sharply from Rs. 70.23 crore reported in Q3FY26.
Profit before tax stood at Rs. 134.90 crore in Q4FY26 compared to Rs. 116.55 crore in the year-ago quarter, reflecting growth of around 15.7 percent year-on-year. Strong revenue growth and improved project execution supported profitability during the quarter.
A major factor supporting margins was favorable inventory movement. The company reported inventory changes of negative Rs. 121.37 crore in Q4FY26 compared to negative Rs. 16.64 crore in Q4FY25. Higher inventory utilization generally indicates stronger project completion and higher sales conversion during the quarter.
Cost of construction and development increased sharply to Rs. 286.59 crore in Q4FY26 compared to Rs. 74.97 crore in Q4FY25. The increase reflects higher project execution activity, rising construction progress and stronger revenue booking from real estate developments, while finance costs increased to Rs. 0.47 crore from Rs. 0.15 crore reported in Q4FY25. Higher finance costs indicate increased funding requirements and expansion-related capital deployment during the quarter.
Total expenses stood at Rs. 187.13 crore in Q4FY26 compared to Rs. 81.58 crore in Q4FY25. However, total income growth outpaced expense growth, helping the company improve operating leverage and profitability during the quarter.
For the full financial year FY26, Lotus Developers reported revenue from operations of Rs. 768.95 crore compared to Rs. 549.68 crore in FY25, reflecting strong growth of around 39.9 percent year-on-year. Net profit for FY26 stood at Rs. 243.30 crore compared to Rs. 227.89 crore in FY25, reflecting steady annual growth.
The company reported earnings per share (EPS) of Rs. 5.04 in FY26 compared to Rs. 5.51 in FY25. The board of directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs. 0.50 per equity share for FY26, subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming AGM. However, promoters and promoter group shareholders holding around 81.87 percent stake have voluntarily waived their right to receive the dividend in order to help retain funds for future business expansion and project development. During the quarter, the company also incorporated five wholly owned subsidiaries focused on real estate development projects, indicating continued expansion plans and pipeline growth.
Lotus Developers Limited operates in the real estate development segment and focuses on residential and commercial real estate projects. The company primarily generates revenue through project development, construction and property sales activities.
India’s real estate sector continues benefiting from rising urbanization, increasing housing demand, infrastructure development and improving consumer confidence in organized developers. Lower inventory levels in major cities and rising premium housing demand are also supporting growth for real estate companies.
However, profitability in the real estate business remains sensitive to construction costs, regulatory approvals, financing costs, raw material inflation and demand conditions. Rising cement, steel and labor costs can pressure margins if developers are unable to pass on higher costs to buyers.
Overall, Lotus Developers reported strong Q4FY26 operational performance supported by robust project execution and higher revenue recognition. Going forward, project launches, construction execution, real estate demand and cost management will remain key factors influencing the company’s future performance.
