As the AI race intensifies, Microsoft is pushing ahead with smarter, multi-model capabilities for its Copilot platform.
The company has introduced new features in Copilot that enable multiple AI models to work together within a single workflow.
A new feature called “Critique” lets OpenAI’s GPT generate responses, while Anthropic’s Claude reviews them for accuracy and quality.
Microsoft plans to make this process two-way in the future, with both models checking each other’s outputs.
The multi-model setup aims to reduce AI errors, improve reliability, and speed up user workflows. Another feature, “Council,” lets users compare responses from different AI models side by side.
Microsoft is also expanding access to its Copilot Cowork tool, offering early access to select users through its Frontier programme.
The push comes amid rising competition from rivals like Google’s Gemini and other AI agent tools. Microsoft shares rose about 1% on the day, though the stock remains down nearly 25% for the quarter.
