Promoters Pour Rs 975 Crore Into 10 Stocks This Week

Based on regulatory disclosures filed with stock exchanges, promoters acquired shares worth Rs 975.17 crore across 10 listed companies this week.

Big Tickets

GMR Airports Ltd led the pack by a wide margin. GVL Investment Pvt Ltd picked up 9.73 crore shares on 30 March, paying between Rs 85.8 and Rs 92.9 per share. At Rs 840.86 crore, it was the largest promoter transaction of the week. The stock closed 0.47% lower at Rs 88.87 on 2 April on NSE.

Aayush Art and Bullion Ltd came in second. Arhat Touch Pvt Ltd bought 6,00,500 shares at Rs 1,108 on 30 March, taking its stake to 18.75%. The Rs 66.53 crore deal pushed the jewellery firm’s promoter holding up by a sharp margin. Shares ended 0.85% higher at Rs 1,140 on BSE.

Jindal Stainless Ltd rounded out the top three. JSL Overseas Holding Ltd acquired 4,34,303 shares at Rs 721.5 on 30 March, valued at Rs 31.33 crore, lifting its stake to 17.12%. The stock gained 1.84% to close at Rs 717.80 on NSE.

Mid-Range Moves

At Rs 560.3 per share, Haryana Caplin Ltd bought 3,50,000 shares of Maharashtra Seamless Ltd on 31 March. The Rs 19.6 crore transaction took its holding to 4.98%. Shares closed at Rs 588.50.

Westlife Foodworld Ltd saw Horizon Impex Pvt Ltd acquire 1,01,385 shares at Rs 438.2 and Rs 439.4 on 31 March, lifting its stake to 30.49%. The Rs 4.4 crore deal comes as the McDonald’s operator continues expanding across West and South India. Shares closed 0.30% lower at Rs 459.95 on NSE.

Ganesh Consumer Products Ltd promoter Manish Mimani paid Rs 169.3 per share for 2,95,314 shares on 1 April, raising his stake to 5.74%. Valued at Rs 4.99 crore, the transaction took his total holding to 23,20,757 shares. The stock closed 3.43% higher at Rs 180.30 on NSE.

Smaller But Notable

Anant Raj Ltd saw Shri Ashok Sarin Anant Raj LLP step in on 31 March, acquiring 60,500 shares at Rs 411 per share. The Rs 2.48 crore purchase lifted promoter holding to 0.46%. Shares ended 0.79% higher at Rs 451.75 on NSE.

Borosil Renewables Ltd promoter Shreevar Kheruka bought 52,577 shares at Rs 380.6 on 31 March in a Rs 2 crore deal, taking his stake to 1.43%. India’s first and leading solar glass manufacturer saw its stock close 0.79% higher at Rs 414.70 on NSE. Deal value: Rs 2 crore.

Two more filings came in on 1 April. Sirisha Projects Pvt Ltd acquired 1,47,500 shares of NCC Ltd at Rs 134.9, pushing its stake to 3.68% in a Rs 1.99 crore deal. The infrastructure firm’s stock closed 2.25% higher at Rs 141.71 on NSE. Binarius Infra Pvt Ltd bought 15,400 shares of Deepak Nitrite Ltd at Rs 1,295.9, also valued at Rs 1.99 crore, taking its holding to 0.01%. Shares ended 1.89% higher at Rs 1,377.70.
