Synopsis: RailTel Corporation of India Limited has secured a work order worth approximately Rs. 27.06 crore from the Goa Labour Welfare Board for developing an end-to-end online portal. The project further strengthens the company’s presence in India’s growing e-governance and digital transformation space.

Shares of RailTel Corporation of India Limited are likely to remain in focus after the company announced that it has secured a work order worth approximately Rs. 27.06 crore from the Goa Labour Welfare Board for the development of a comprehensive digital platform.

RailTel Corporation of India Limited has a total market capitalization of approximately Rs. 9,868.86 crore. The company’s shares were trading at Rs. 307.25 apiece on the stock exchange, up by 0.34 percent during the session. According to the company’s exchange filing, RailTel has received a work order from the Goa Labour Welfare Board for the development of an exclusive end-to-end online portal. The project aims to digitize and streamline the Board’s operations through an integrated online platform.

The contract is valued at approximately Rs. 27.06 crore, including taxes, and is scheduled to be completed by August 23, 2026. The company clarified that the order has been awarded by a domestic government entity and does not involve any promoter interest or related-party transaction.

The latest order further strengthens RailTel’s presence in the e-governance and digital transformation segment. Governments across India are increasingly adopting digital platforms to improve service delivery, automate administrative processes, enhance transparency, and provide citizens with seamless access to public services. End-to-end online portals enable digital documentation, workflow automation, online applications, grievance management, and real-time monitoring, significantly improving operational efficiency.

India’s Digital India initiative continues to drive large-scale investments in e-governance, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, broadband connectivity, and public digital platforms. Central and state government departments are increasingly partnering with technology companies to modernize legacy systems and accelerate digital service delivery, creating significant opportunities for IT infrastructure and system integration providers.

For investors, the latest work order enhances RailTel’s order book while reinforcing its growing diversification beyond railway telecom infrastructure into digital governance, cloud services, cybersecurity, data centres, and enterprise ICT solutions. Continued order wins from government agencies are expected to support the company’s long-term revenue growth and strengthen its position in India’s digital infrastructure ecosystem.

Incorporated in 2000, RailTel Corporation of India Limited is a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways. The company provides broadband, telecom, cloud, data centre, cybersecurity, system integration, and ICT services while operating one of India’s largest optic fibre networks, covering nearly 6,000 railway stations across the country.

The latest Rs. 27.06 crore work order further strengthens RailTel’s order pipeline and reinforces its position as a key technology partner for India’s digital transformation and e-governance initiatives.
