Shares of RailTel Corporation of India Ltd fell 3.5% after touching a day’s high of Rs 289.90 on 9th March. Even as the company said on Saturday (7th March) that it had received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from South East Central Railway for a project valued at Rs 26,72,60,140. The work order was received on 6th March, 2026.
The contract includes the supply, transportation and installation of optical fibre cable (OFC), along with trenching, laying, drilling, pipe insertion and termination work. Additionally, the project is scheduled to be completed by 5th March, 2027.
RailTel said the order is entirely domestic and does not involve its promoter, promoter group or related parties.
Last month, the company also secured an order worth about Rs 35.6 crore for a railway signalling project. This came after receiving a Letter of Acceptance from the Deputy Chief Signal & Telecommunication Engineer.
The project involves installing MSDAC and related works, along with indoor modifications at EI, RRI, and PI stations in the Prayagraj division of North Central Railway. Moreover, the work is expected to be completed within 24 months, with execution scheduled to end on 17th February, 2028.
RailTel said this order is also from a domestic entity and does not fall under related party transactions.
At 1:39 PM, shares of RailTel were trading 3.66% lower at Rs 280.25 on the NSE.
