Ujjivan Small Finance Bank shares jumps 7% after reporting 71% YoY increase in net profit

Synopsis: Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, focused on financial inclusion, reported a 71% YoY and 49% QoQ rise in net profit to Rs. 182 cr in Q3FY26, with total income at Rs. 2,047 cr.

With a market capitalisation of Rs. 11,901 cr, the shares of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Ltd are currently trading at Rs. 61.38 per share, increasing 7% in today’s market session, making a high of Rs. 61.70, up from its previous close of Rs. 57.76 per share. 

YoY performance 

Net profit of the company increased by 71% from Rs. 109 cr in Q3FY25 to Rs. 182 cr in Q3FY26. Gross NPAs rose to Rs. 880 cr from Rs. 811 cr. Net NPAs to Rs. 208 cr from Rs. 165 cr. Net interest income increased by 12.8% from Rs. 887 cr to Rs. 1,000 cr. 

QoQ performance 

Net profit of the company increased by 49% from Rs. 122 cr in Q2FY26 to Rs. 182 cr in Q3FY26. Gross NPAs rose to Rs. 880 cr from Rs. 843 cr. Net NPAs fell to Rs. 208 cr from Rs. 225 cr. Net interest income increased by 8.5% from Rs. 922 cr to Rs. 1,000 cr. 

Segment Revenue  

For Q3FY26, the bank reported segment revenues of Rs. 218.15 crore from Treasury, Rs. 1,776.00 crore from Retail Banking, and Rs. 53.25 crore from Wholesale Banking, resulting in a total income of Rs. 2,047.40 crore. Compared to the previous quarter Q2FY26, Treasury and Wholesale Banking revenues declined by 6.2% and 1.8%, respectively, while Retail Banking grew by 7.5%.

On a year-on-year basis, all segments recorded growth, such as Treasury revenue increased by 2.3%, Retail Banking surged by 18.5%, and Wholesale Banking grew by 4.1%, leading to a total income growth of 16.1% YoY.

In terms of profit before tax, Q3FY26 saw Rs. 25.54 crore from Treasury, Rs. 206.82 crore from Retail Banking, Rs. 26.05 crore from Wholesale Banking, and a negative Rs. 13.95 crore under Unallocated segment, resulting in a total PBT of Rs. 244.46 crore.

 On a QoQ basis, Retail Banking profits more than doubled (+126.5%) compared to Q2FY26, driving overall PBT growth of 52.6%, while Treasury and Wholesale Banking profits declined by 20.9% and 47.7%, respectively.
