Synopsis: With an 86 percent compounded stock return over the past 3 years, Hitachi Energy saw its stock surge by 14 percent in intraday trading following the announcement of its Q3FY26 results, which reported a 90 percent YoY profit growth and a 228 percent increase in 9MFY26 profits.
The shares of the large-cap firm Hitachi Energy India a power technology company providing products, solutions, and services across the energy value chain, were in the spotlight soon after the company announced its robust Q3FY26 results.
With a market cap of Rs 97,154 Cr, Hitachi Energy India Ltd saw its stock hit an intraday high of Rs 21900 which is 14 percent higher than the previous close of Rs 19194. The company stock has given a compounded return of 86 percent in the last three years.
The Q3FY26 Result
In the latest quarterly result the company has seen its revenue from operations increase by 28 percent YoY, from Rs 1,620 Cr in Q3FY25 to Rs 2,082 Cr in Q3FY26, while the QoQ increased by 13 percent from Rs 1,833 Cr. The net profits grew by 90 percent going from Rs 137 Cr in Q3FY25 to Rs 261 Cr in Q3FY26, while the QoQ decreased by 1 percent from Q2FY26’s Rs 264 Cr.
In 9M numbers of the fiscal year, the company saw its revenue from operations increase by 19 percent YoY, from Rs 4383 Cr in 9MFY25 to Rs 5210 Cr in 9MFY26. The net profits for the same period grew by 228 percent going from Rs 200 Cr to Rs 657 Cr.
The company has a 3 year sales CAGR of 9 percent, while the TTM is at 17 percent. The company’s 3 year profit CAGR is at 29 percent, while the TTM number is at 181 percent. The company also has a ROCE of 19 percent and a ROE of 14 percent.
Order Book
Orders for the quarter ended December 31, 2025, reached Rs 2,477.6 crore, marking a 73.7 percent year-on-year rise excluding a large FY25 order. Growth was driven by strong demand for transformers, reactors, GIS, and AIS solutions, with datacenters and renewable energy emerging as key contributors to the expanding order pipeline.
Exports remained robust in Q3FY26, contributing 29.8 percent of total orders with demand from utilities and data centers across Southeast Asia and Southern Africa. Services added 4.3 percent, supported by SAS extensions, SCADA upgrades, and a major integration project, while the Rs 29,872.2 crore backlog ensures strong multi-quarter revenue visibility. In Q3 FY26, the sector-wise order book mix shows Utilities contribution at 47 percent, Industries at 43 percent, and Transport & Infrastructure at 10 percent.

The CEO stated that the company highlighted accelerating electrification in India and globally, driven by rising electricity demand and AI-led growth.
