Telangana Secures Rs 5.75 Lakh Crore Investments as Salman Khan, Firms Pledge Big

Telangana made a major splash at the Telangana Rising Global Summit, signing investment agreements worth Rs 5.75 lakh crore during the two-day event that wrapped up on 9th December. The summit brought together world leaders, top CEOs, and celebrities, leading to major commitments from companies such as Reliance Consumer Products, Aurobindo Pharma, Hetero, Bharat Biotech, and Godrej Industries.

Adding star power, actor Salman Khan announced an investment of Rs 10,000 crore. He aims to develop a special township along with a film and television studio in the state.

The government also unveiled Telangana Rising 2047, a long-term vision. The goal is to make Telangana a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and reach a $3 trillion SGDP by 2047. Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, speaking virtually, praised Telangana’s rapid development. He said the state has become a global model for technological, agricultural, and inclusive progress.

A closer look at the major investments

Reliance Consumer Products Limited will invest Rs 1,500 crore to set up a multi-product FMCG hub. It will offer beverages, snacks, confectionery, and other consumer goods on a 100-acre site. This investment will create 1,000 direct jobs.

Vintage Coffee and Beverages Ltd will invest Rs 1,100 crore to establish a premium freeze-dried coffee export unit.

JCK Infra Projects Limited will invest Rs 9,000 crore. They plan to build data center facilities and ancillary infrastructure, generating over 2,000 jobs.

RCT Energy India Pvt Ltd plans to invest Rs 2,500 crore in three phases. Their investment will create more than 1,600 jobs in the state.
