G R Infraprojects Shares Tank 2% Despite Securing Rs 1,897 Crore Order 

Shares of G R Infraprojects Ltd were trading in the red and 2% lower on 11 February despite the company announcing that it has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project for Rs 1,897.51 crore to construct a new railway line in Madhya Pradesh.

The infrastructure company was named the L-1 bidder in the financial bid opening on 11 February 2026, for the EPC project tender invited by West Central Railway, Jabalpur.

G R Infraprojects would construct a new line (from Km 124/400 to 165/380) between Bahari and Gondawali stations in Madhya Pradesh, the company said in a filing on 11 February.

The project will include “Earthwork, Minor bridges, Major Bridges, Important Bridges, Viaduct, ROB (RCC Box Type), RUB/LHS, Station building, Tunnels, Track work and other miscellaneous works in connection with Sidhi-Singrauli new Rail link project” in Madhya Pradesh, the stock exchange filing mentioned.

The contract price for the project is Rs 1,897.51 crore. G R Infraprojects plans to complete it within 900 days of appointment.

Last month, the infrastructure company was the lowest bidder for an EPC project worth Rs 487.78 crore to implement Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) at NTPC Thermal Power Stations.

The project is under Lot-1 of the BESS implementation programme and will be carried out at NTPC’s Mouda Super Thermal Power Station in Maharashtra. The financial bid for the project was opened on 16 January 2026, after an invitation to tender by NTPC.

At 2:20 pm, the shares of G R Infraprojects were trading 2.25% lower at Rs 977.85 on NSE.
