Aurobindo Unit 7 Gets 9 FDA Observations; Shares Rise 2.75%

Shares of Aurobindo Pharma Ltd surged 2.75% to touch a day’s high of Rs 1,161 on 11th February. This came after the company said the USFDA had issued a Form 483 with a total of nine observations following the inspection.

In an exchange filing, the Hyderabad-based company said the US FDA inspected its Unit-VII, an oral solid dosage manufacturing facility. Notably, this facility is located at the Pharma Special Economic Zone in TSIIC Green Industrial Park.

The inspection was conducted from 28th January to 10th February, 2026. At the end of the review, the US FDA issued a Form 483 with nine observations. A Form 483 highlights potential issues related to facilities, equipment, processes, quality controls, products, employee practices, or documentation.

Earlier, on 9th February, the company had also informed exchanges about a separate US FDA inspection at its Unit III manufacturing facility.

Aurobindo Pharma Q3 Results

Separately, Aurobindo Pharma reported its Q3 results on 9th February. The company posted a net profit of Rs 909.8 crore, up 7.5% year-over-year from Rs 846 crore. This came despite including a one-time cost of Rs 65 crore due to changes in the labour code.

Revenue for the quarter rose 8.4% year-over-year to Rs 8,646 crore, compared to Rs 7,979 crore last year. This growth was supported by growth in Europe and the ARV (antiretroviral drugs) segment.

At 12:25 PM, shares of Aurobindo Pharma were trading 1.76% higher at Rs 1,143.90 on the NSE.
