Jio Financial Shares Drop Over 4% as Q4 FY26 Profit Falls 14%

Shares of Jio Financial Services Limited fell by 3.84% on Monday, 20 April, after the company reported a 14% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit for the quarter ending 31 March 2026.

Net profit dropped to Rs 272.22 crore in Q4 FY26, down from Rs 316.11 crore in the same quarter a year earlier. The board also declared a dividend of Rs 0.60 per share alongside the results.

Not all metrics pointed lower. Net interest income, the gap between interest earned and interest paid, rose 28.46% year-on-year to Rs 344.41 crore in the quarter. Pre-Provision Operating Profit for Q4 FY26 reached Rs 120 crore, reflecting 2.5x year-on-year growth.

For the full year, the picture was considerably stronger. FY26 assets under management came in at Rs 25,711 crore, growing 2.5x year-on-year, while gross disbursements in Q4 FY26 were Rs 10,629 crore, up 49% year-on-year and 23% quarter-on-quarter. Hitesh Sethia, Managing Director and CEO, told exchanges the company was committed to ‘growing sustainably and responsibly’ as it enters FY27.

At 11:12 am, shares were down by 2.43% at Rs 237.94 on NSE, having touched an intraday low of Rs 234.50 earlier in the session. The stock opened at Rs 242, against a previous close of Rs 243.86.
